STORIES FROM THE HOME FRONT

The Home Front Cares protects the confidentiality of our clients. But, we often receive notes of thanks or our clients want to give back by sharing their own stories, which we do with the client’s permission. The notes below highlight the life-changing impact we have on Colorado service members, veterans, and their families.

Julio F.

“Thanks to The Home Front Cares that my family and I are able to pay our mortgage and utilities. This company is there to help our veterans in need while transitioning to civilian. Thank you so much to The Home Front Cares. Love everything you do for us veterans.”—Julio F

Natasha H.

“The Home Front Cares is an amazing organization. I recently gained custody of two small children and was in need and they helped me with my rent and things for my children. Thank you so much to the Home Front Cares Family for the help, love, and support you gave me. God Bless all you do for us veterans.”—Natasha H.

“I’m still pretty poor. However, without THFC, I would be a homeless veteran without any chance of a job. The psychological damage would be beyond repair and I would have killed myself.

THFC saved my life along with the select few heroes who care about veterans and the damage we already have to our bodies and minds. I desperately need a car, new clothes and more stability. Thank you for giving me the contact for other organizations who help veterans like me and who desperately need a second chance in life!”—(name withheld by request)

Nantena Beller

“I just wanted to write and let you know how much I appreciate everything you and The Home Front Cares has done for me. I doubt I’ll be able to truly express my gratitude, but I must try.Since my deployment it has seemed the world has something against me. Like I am being punished for things I did under orders in a combat zone. I have struggled to find happiness and security. This act of kindness you have bestowed upon me has given me more than simply a functioning vehicle, it has given me hope when I needed it most.

I picked my car up from the shop Friday, and she runs like the day I picked her out of the lot. Saturday was my 28th birthday, and driving down the freeway to Denver for the first time in over half-a-year was exhilarating. Without my car I was trapped, I am now able to know a freedom I thought I’d lost. With reliable transportation I am now able to apply for positions I never thought I would be able to fill, like the position I hope to interview for in Denver within a month. While not all problems are solved for me yet, I feel like I now have the means to solve them myself. And you have given me that means… by giving me hope.

Thank you so much! I am so grateful to you for all you’ve done.”— Nantena Beller

Paul

“Thank you and your amazing people at Home Front Cares for coming to my rescue. The repairs your organization paid for will keep me employed and able to get independently to job sites around the Front Range; in the first significant job I have had since September 2015. I have been infrequently employed at half time or seasonal without benefits since. My current employer (as of March 21st, 2016) will have me at full time at least through December 2016. By the end of the road construction season I will have built my skills and knowledge base to be more competitive in a crowded job market. Come December 2016, I will have met the criteria for the Colorado Dept of Transportation; and will apply for one of their seasonal jobs, while seeking a permanent position.

My Ford Explorer is my lifeboat. I have the minimum essentials to care for my self, to lay my head down to sleep, and to get me to my job to be successful. Your actions have kept my life boat afloat when everything seemed ruined and all options had vanished like mirages.”— Thank you, Paul

Pamela

“I would have been in the homeless status and I wouldn’t want my son to have to go through that. I am glad there is some type of help for veterans. It was a trying time, but thank you.“—Pamela

Danielle

“I cannot express enough to you and Home Front Cares my gratitude in helping me out soooooo much, I have been so stressed out and felt like I had hit a brick wall and there was no way around. Because of you and the Home Front Cares Team that wall magically fell down and there is a light at the end of my dark tunnel. I would never ever have believed that there was ever an organization and a group of people who actually do help so much, who do look out for soldiers, who do support and understand the crisis that some of us face. You all are a miracle, my miracle, and I feel so blessed to have had you look at me and my situation and want to help, I cannot explain how much you have touched me and my family’s lives….. I truly truly truly appreciate you and Home Front Cares and one day hope to be in the position where I can help others too =).”— Thank you from the bottom of My Heart, Danielle
