Volunteer Opportunities
The Home Front Cares is a volunteer
organization. We depend on those who feel a passion for our
mission to help the families of deployed military. There are
many of you who have helped and many who have yet to
discover how rewarding and productive a volunteer position
with The Home Front Cares can be. Yes-We’re talking about
you! Give us a call or send an e-mail to see if you fit
into one of the listed jobs or can help in other ways. We’re
always interested in hearing new ideas on how to help our
military families.
Special Events Volunteers
If you’d like to help out by
representing The Home Front Cares at special events on a
semi-regular basis, ask about this opportunity.
Volunteer Coordinator
We’re looking for a “people person” who
can help recruit, screen, and train volunteers. We get many
inquiries about volunteering and need someone who can help
get that person to the right opportunity. Responsibilities
would include recruiting and screening applicants to make
sure we maximize their talents. Oversight of training
activities and some training would be required.
Caseworker
The reason we exist is to help the
families of deployed troops. Our volunteer case workers
interact directly with these families to get them the help
they need and deserve. You will receive training as well as
supervision to help you learn how to work with the various
programs provided by THFC. You will work directly with the
casework coordinator who will provide follow up and
assistance.
